This video does as good a job as any in introducing and capturing Joseph’s Campbell’s powerful and inspiring model of The Hero’s Journey. I often recommend it to clients who find themselves “stuck,” amidst a difficult life transition, or who just want to watch something uplifting (for just over an hour).
The film reminds me of what it was like to be a kid, imagining how amazing life is and feeling the wonder of it all. You can’t get enough of that feeling! It’s exciting to realize that we are all the heroes of our own story.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I have and that it can be helpful in some way. Thank you to the producers of this film for capturing Joseph Campbell’s enthusiasm and entirely expansive thought. It is such a simple, but powerful pattern that I see time and time again in my office. It also doesn’t hurt that George Lucas patterned Star Wars from Joseph Campbell’s work!
