We Got Your Back

There are things that we might put it aside or didn’t even realize, like a penny on the floor. Just because we can’t see it doesn’t mean it didn’t exist. Many of the most influential human beings have battled with depression: Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln, Ellen DeGeneres, J.K. Rowling, Charles Dickens, and Albert Einstein. Part of their influence comes from thinking and feeling deeply.

Never run faster then you have strength

When you start to feel depressed, stop doing what you are doing. Then do something else. It can be going for a walk, listening to your favorite music, or taking a shower. Find a small goal and try to achieve it, like serving others, smile at someone on the street, or have a gratitude journey. Never give pressure on yourself, and push yourself too much.

Don’t forget those who loved you

Talk to family, friends, people you trust or counselor. Don’t focus on something you can’t control, remember you have lots of people are on your side, including us. If you stretch a rubber band too tight, it will break, snap, and hurt you. It’s better to express your thoughts than suppress it until you can’t take it anymore. If you do the latter, pressure builds and you explode. There are always people here to listen, support and help you.

Comparison is the thief of joy, stop comparing

Everyone has done it before, even myself. Usually, we are comparing our weaknesses to other’s strengths. We’ll set a high expectation for ourselves that we will never meet. So…don’t focus on what others think about you, think about what you brought to others. “Be-you-tiful”, you worth more then you think you are. Everyone is unique, we all have different talents, personalities, and strengths.

The broken mind can heal, just like broken bones

Be patient with yourself, healing takes time. No one can be healed in an instant. It might take a week, a month, a year or longer. But one thing I know, the healing process will be shorter than your life on this beautiful planet. Your loved one will walk with you each step of the way, no matter how long it takes.
